Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Monton Group Limited uses personal information collected through this website.
Who we are
Monton Group Limited is a wholesale insurance broker authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, Financial Services Register number 1032972. We work with insurers, MGAs, brokers, service providers and distribution partners and do not sell insurance policies directly to consumers.
We are the controller for personal information you submit through this website. Our registered office is Suite 6 & 7 Eden Point, Three Acres Lane, Cheadle, England, SK8 6RL. To contact us about this notice or about how we use your personal information, please contact us through LinkedIn or write to us at our registered office.
Information we collect
This website does not include a contact form, account area or any other feature that collects personal information through the website itself.
If you choose to contact us through LinkedIn, your message and the profile details you share there are handled by LinkedIn under its own privacy policy. We receive and use them only to read and respond to your enquiry.
Our website hosting and infrastructure providers also process technical information such as your IP address and browser details in server logs as part of delivering and securing the website.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To read and respond to business enquiries you send us, including through LinkedIn, and to hold a record of business enquiries we receive. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to enquiries about our business and managing business relationships. Where the enquiry relates to steps towards an agreement with you or your organisation, the processing may instead be necessary for a contract or for taking steps at your request.
- To keep the website secure and available. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in protecting our systems and information.
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations that apply to our business. Our lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
We do not use this website to send marketing.
Who we share it with
We use third party service providers who process personal information on our behalf as processors, including our website hosting provider. If you contact us through LinkedIn, LinkedIn also acts as a separate controller of the information you share on that platform. Fonts used on this website are delivered by Google Fonts, which means your IP address is visible to that service when a page loads.
We may also share information with professional advisers, or with regulators and other authorities, where we are required or permitted to do so by law.
We do not sell personal information.
International transfers
The technical information processed through this website is processed within the United Kingdom and is not transferred outside the United Kingdom by us or by the providers that store it on our behalf.
If you contact us through LinkedIn, that conversation takes place on LinkedIn's own platform and is subject to LinkedIn's own data practices.
How long we keep it
Technical logs from our hosting providers are kept only for as long as needed to run and secure the website. Enquiry messages you send us through LinkedIn are kept for as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting business relationship, and then for a further period where we need to retain records for legal, regulatory or business reasons.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third party analytics or advertising scripts on it. No cookie banner is shown because no consent requiring technology is in use.
Where technical storage is used, it is limited to what is strictly necessary to deliver the pages you request. You can control or block storage through your browser settings.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us for access to your personal information, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information erased, to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive certain information in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to that processing.
To exercise a right, contact us through LinkedIn or write to us at our registered office. We will respond within the timescales set by law.
Complaints about privacy
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please tell us so we can look into it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our processing changes. This version was prepared on 17 September 2026.
